Robbery suspect shot victim after demanding money in Myrtle Beach


MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A victim was shot after a suspect demanded money in the area of Mr. Joe White Blvd. early Wednesday morning, according to information from Lt. Joey Crosby with the Myrtle Beach Police Department.

The victim was reportedly sitting in his vehicle when a suspect got into the car, presented a gun, and demanded money. A second suspect stood outside of the vehicle.

According to Lt. Crosby, the victim attempted to escape when the suspect shot at the vehicle, striking the victim.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The victim also refused to cooperate with the investigation, and wouldn’t allow his vehicle to be examined for evidence.

This has been the fifth shooting incident in Myrtle Beach since last week.
