Darlington man arrested, charged with burglary after three weeks on the run


DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) – A Darlington man wanted in connection for the burglary of an area business in March was arrested Thursday after three weeks on the run.

According to a press release from the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office, Henry Timmons Thomas III, 46, was charged with second-degree burglary and petit larceny.

The suspect was captured at a home on East Home Avenue in the Hartsville area by DCSO deputies, who were assisted by the U.S. Marshals Task Force, the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division and the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.

Thomas is accused of entering a business in March and taking a quantity of business checks, the release stated.

He is currently being held at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center awaiting arraignment. Additional charges are pending, according to investigators.
