CONWAY, S.C. (AP) – The suspect in the March death of a man found dead on the side of a South Carolina road has been arrested.
Horry County Police said 21-year-old Jamar Williams was taken into custody on Sunday.
Jail records show state Highway Patrol troopers arrested Williams, but no details were given.
Williams was wanted in the shooting death of 31-year-old Jason Smith. Police say Smith’s body was found face down on the side of a road near Conway by people driving by on March 18.
Horry County Police announced Williams’ arrest on Twitter with a post that said “Nice to see you again Mr. Williams!” along with his wanted poster.
