The unsettled weather finally comes to a close later this weekend after one final round of storms this afternoon.
Scattered rain and eventual storms will be possible this afternoon, and will primarily focus on the Piedmont of North Carolina into the Upstate. A few locally stronger storms are possible with gusty, perhaps damaging wind as the main threat.
Any storms that develop should quickly dissipate this evening as the sun sets, leaving a clearing sky overnight and lows dropping into the 60s.
Outside of a few lingering showers in the Upstate Sunday, drier air finally filters into the region. Sunday afternoon should feel crisp and comfortable in the 70s to mid-80s, and that will stick around for most of next week. This will mean comfortable, sunny days and pleasant nights!
