Fallen tree takes out car, power for some Forest Acres residents

FOREST ACRES, SC (WIS) –

Crews from the Columbia Police Department and SCE&G were called out late Tuesday night to remove a fallen tree near Forest Acres.

They worked overnight and had the tree cleared from Harrison Road near Marling Road by 6 a.m. Wednesday.

According to officials, the tree landed on some power lines leaving some residents in the area without power.

Authorities said no one was injured during the incident. Harrison Road was blocked for most of the night until the tree was cleared.
