All things considered, today will be quite similar to yesterday with sunshine to start the day followed by clouds building in this afternoon with highs in the lower 80s in the mountains to upper 80s in the Upstate.
An isolated thunderstorm or two can’t be ruled out this afternoon, but the better chances will be later this evening and continue throughout the night. It’s from this point onward where we see on and off scattered rain and storms every day this week as a front stalls over the area.
Meanwhile in the tropics, there are two disturbances that could become named storms in the coming days, so that is something we’re monitoring very closely. The next two names on the list are Franklin and Gert.
