CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – Chuck Jordan, football coach at Conway High School, will remain on administrative leave until Nov. 30.

According to Horry County Schools Communications Director Teal Britton, Nov. 30 is the end of Jordan’s contract. When that contract expires, he will not return to employment, she added.

Jordan was arrested and charged with assault and battery after video from a Conway High surveillance camera allegedly showed him confronting a student back in May. Those charges were dropped earlier this month.

Ka’Brian Javar Hickman, 17, was also arrested the same day as Jordan on charges of disturbing schools after using profane language and kicking over a trash can in the gym.

Hickman’s charges were also dropped earlier this month.

At an Aug. 7 Horry County School Board meeting, some parents voiced their concerns to WMBF News about Jordan’s tenure with Conway High School, saying he should be fired.
