In the tropics, Hurricane Harvey is expected to make landfall early Saturday morning as a category 3 hurricane on the Texas coast where some could see over 30 inches of rain, 6-12 foot storm surge and winds over 110 miles per hour. No impact will be had in the Carolinas from this storm, but another disturbance off the Florida coast has a chance of further strengthening in the coming days that could potentially move up the east coast.
