Coroner called to crash in Anderson County, troopers responding to numerous accidents

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) –

The Anderson County coroner said he was called to a crash Tuesday morning as emergency dispatchers said icy patches and fog was creating hazards for drivers in the county.

Coroner Greg Shore said he was called to a crash on High Shoals Road at Abbeville Highway.

That crash occurred around 6:45 a.m.

Troopers are also investigating.

As of 7:35 a.m. troopers were responding to 18 crashes in Anderson County.

Troopers were responding to more than 45 total incidents across the Upstate as of 7:35 a.m.

Meteorologist Nicole Papay said fog had been depositing moisture onto the ground Tuesday morning, which than began to freeze. Conditions will improve as fog lifts and morning temperatures rise.
