Upstate teen launches Rose Project to provide prom dresses to girls in need

WILLIAMSTON, SC (FOX Carolina) –

Miss Upstate Teen Rosalee Summerlin said she is trying to make prom season magical for everyone.

The sophomore at Palmetto High School has started a service imitative, called the Rose Project, to provide prom dresses to girls who cannot afford them.

The dresses are available to anyone who needs one at no cost.

Summerlin said people wishing to help with her cause can donate dresses at Palmetto High School in Williamston.
